Project Description:
Following a series of reviews on the most suitable type of formwork to use for this prestigious SUP (Shared User Path), Permadec Pty Ltd were chosen to supply a suitable permanent formwork solution.
In close connection with the GHD/McConnell Dowell design and the build team, Permadec designed and delivered the required formwork to the site in time for the installation window. Feedback was very positive for these clients engineer and construction staff on the speed of the installation and finish achieved. Also given the design parameters that there was no cutting required on site of our panels as they had been designed to a specified tolerance for the structure.
Key facts:
- Design, manufacture, and supply of over 133m2 of GRP Permanent formwork. 4 different panel types were supplied to suit the design requirements of the SUP
- Coordination of production and delivery to site during freight restrictions brought on by Covid 19 and port strikes
- Coordination design effort to achieve suitable bearing lengths for the SUP Steel truss
